This position is based in our Austin office.LIM has an immediate opening for a Product Support Specialist in our Client and Data Services Department in our Austin, Texas office. The Product Support Specialist role is the stepping stone to senior opportunities at LIM. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, patience and an ability to deal with clients explaining technology in a non technical manner.Primary Responsibilities
- Serving as the first point of contact (via phone, e-mail, web-based support) for LIM’s user base (hedge funds, investment banks, global banks and large oil/gas companies) regarding software and data product questions
- Becoming a product expert in all of LIM’s software tools and data products
- Working proactively to ensure prompt resolution of support cases
- Assisting clients in accomplishing their trading strategy goals via our database, historical analysis tool and related trading applications
- Researching trading strategy, LIM software product and data content questions posed by LIM clients
- Monitoring hardware and software performance on client’s locally installed systems
- Providing training to clients on LIM’s data offerings and software products
- Reporting bugs and new product requests to development staff
- Interacting with LIM partner data vendors
Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in economics, finance, computer science or related field
- Experience in learning and utilizing new software products quickly
- Comprehensive understanding of economics, finance and statistics
- Experience with of the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
